Most international schools in Qatar open their doors in September.
However, the schools of the Central Board of Secondary Education begin their school year in April, so we recommend that you communicate directly with the schools to see the exact dates of the beginning of the school year.
Although school start dates vary from school to school, some schools may accept new students all year round if they have vacancies, but we recommend that you start the registration process before coming to Qatar due to the high demand for school enrollment.
Most parents living in Qatar will tell you that getting a place for your child in any school will be stressful and time-consuming; you will face long queues and sometimes very strict admission requirements, so you have to start looking and think about registration options for your children as early as possible.
Registration in some grades may require admission tests for children. However, the basic requirements for registering a student include two passport-size passport photographs, a passport copy, a recent school report, and a vaccination card.
